Your Here

You are here and everything went so well.  Last Thursday I went to my routine 36 week appointment, only you were 36 weeks and 4 days.  When we got there we asked for the doctor to check me to see if I was dilating.  Of course as I thought I was at a 3 and about 50% efface.  I made an appointment for a week from the next Monday only because I really wanted to see Dr. Baker and he was suppose to be out of town the whole next week.  The receptionist said that he might be doing surgeries on Thursday morning and to call and find out if I was to see another Dr and was dilated more weather Dr. Baker would still deliver me.  I called and they said he would if I was dilated.  On Sunday after church I started to have Braxton hicks consisted, and since I knew I was already dilating, after about 4 hours of it we came to the hospital.  They checked me and I was at a 5 but did not progress, so they sent me home.  I was glad because I was trying to make it till Thursday.  That whole week I laid in bed not having much contractions, if I did they always went away.  On Wednesday though around 1 I started to have contractions not painful but they were every 2-4 minutes.  Around 7 they started to become painful so we went to the hospital.  I was so upset because all I had to do was wait until the next day to see my doctor.  At the hospital I was still and 5 but started to have stronger contractions.  They kept me there for 5 hours and then sent me home because I hadn't progressed.  The next morning, I got up cleaned the house and did laundry.  I was getting everything ready in case I had you.  I was able to talk to a very  nice receptionist who was able to triple book Dr. Baker so I could see him.  My appointment was at 2:30 p.m.  I sent the kids to Grandma Munns and went to my appointment.  Dad didn't come with me this time because he was sick of coming to IF only to be sent home.  When I got into see the Dr he laughed and told me I was 7 to 8 centimeters dilated.  We wanted to go check my strep B results and come back and talk to me.  He said that he would be comfortable delivering me even though you were only 37 weeks and 4 days along, not considered full term.  He told me to go up to the hospital and he would come up in an hour and brake my water.  I called Dad and over 2 hours later he showed up.  In the mean time I got hooked up, giving an IV and started on my epidural.  We had a scare when they did my Epidural.  They didn't get a full bag of water through me and I started to get light headed and dizzy.  Then the Anesthesiologist said that I was looking pale.  I felt sick to my stomach and like I couldn't get my breath.  I started to sweat and just really felt like something was really wrong.  The anesthesiologist gave me something in my IV and I stared to feel better, but made you heartbeat go up to over 200.  They said it was from the epinephrine they put in my IV and as long as you were moving, (which you were, ALOT you were fine).  I found out later how serious the situation was but the nurse and anesthesiologist really remained calm.  My blood pressure dropped to 50 over 30 and my heart rate went up to 136.  Everything was turned out fine except I felt lightheaded the rest of the time.

Then around 5:20 the Dr came up and broke my water, about 10 minutes after Dad got there.  I was still dilated to a 8 at that time.  Then around 6:15 he came back in and said I was almost there, that we would start pushing in about 20 mins.  When he came in again he said he could feel your head.  I pushed through 3 contractions and you were here.  You were so little looking to me and so cute.  They let me hold you for a long time, you cried but where so cute.  You kind of looked like Colton to me at that time, but later I thought you had your own little look.  The weighed you and to my surprise you were 7 lbs 10 oz.  Bryce took a picture of you on the scale and it said that you weighed 7 lbs 8 oz but the nurse insisted you were 7 lbs 10 oz.  You were 20 inches long and born at 6:43 p.m.  Only 4 hours after I walked into my Dr appointment.  I was so glad you were here, healthy and that Dr Baker was able to deliver you.

You are such a good baby so far, please stay that way.  You brother and sister just love you and want to be around you all the time.  They saw you that first night and then came the next day and spent the afternoon with you.  We think that you name is going to be Cater Vernon Munns.  All you do is sleep and eat and poop.  When you are hungry you dont even really cry just smack your lips.  At least here in the hospital you did.  The first night you didn't really cry just whined all night, and then when I would hold you you were fine, but I couldn't sleep for worry I would drop you.  You love to snuggle and are love to just look around.  I am so in love with you and hope you stay sweet.  We are so glad you are here and mommy doesn't want you to grow up.

Almost done

About three days before my last appointment I started to get more and more Braxton Hicks, I was thinking that that meant that I was starting to dilate and I was right.

Post from main blog on April 20th 2012

on another note we went to the doctor yesterday. I had him check me because I go really fast and dilate really fast. With both of my kids when I was checked at 37 weeks and was dilated to a 3. I was 36 and 4 days yesterday and was dilated to a 3, SURPRISE! I was 50% efface and was told to make a appointment for next Thursday. With my other two the next time I went in I was dilated to a 7 so I half expect it this time. When I went to the front desk to make my appointment I was told that my doctor would be out of the office next week. I said, "the doctor didn't tell me that," and she said, "he doesn't even know his own schedule." So I made my appointment for Monday the 30th, I really hope I can make it, I don't want anyone else in his office to deliver me! Since that appointment yesterday I have had a lot of braxton hicks, AWWWWWWW, so I will be really laying low this next week!

I have been having a lot of back cramps and braxton hicks since then, and am not sure I will make it to my appointment. It doesn't matter to you that there is no more room in my belly. You kick and kick and kick harder. You stretch and love to push on my hips and ribs. I told the kids the first thing that I am going to do when you come out is spank you bum for kicking me so hard! I am getting really nervous, I don't know why this one is making me more nervous but you are. I hope all goes well and we can see you in a week.

Kinda boring

This pregnancy has really gone by fast at times and for the most part without a hitch. Besides the really bad groin and back pain at night, everything else is good. It has allowed me to get a lot done. The Braxton hicks have been nothing compared to last time. I feel like I am carring you a lot different than Taylee. You are very low and forward. You are quite the mover and the only child that I can remember that wakes me up in the middle of the night and wont stop moving. You wake me up at around 3:00 and 5:00 am, I hope that isn't preparing me for your rutine when you are born. I am really enjoying sleeping in the morning and know that it will change here really soon.

I have been able to get a lot done lately. I have made you three blankets and have one more to make. I also made a nursing cover and car seat cover. Then I sewed on some ties to your white shirts they are so cute.

I am pretty sure that I felt you turn about 4 weeks ago, it or course woke me up in the middle of the night. You like to kick up high in my ribs, and when you move you don't stop for a really long time, probably the longest our of all my kids. I don't think that you care that you are running out of room, you stretch anyway.

I have gained so far 26 lbs and feel huge. I have a doctors appointment in two weeks and I am going to have him check me to see if I am dilated. I can't believe that it is almost time to see you. only 5 more weeks or less.

As for a name your dad is starting to like Carter, but we are not for sure, no middle name yet!

What a mover

I can just tell you are going to be a sweet kid!! You are so nice to me, you don't kick me that hard yet, but do you move! It's so fun to feel you move I can't wait to meet you.

I found out about Prevacid this week, WOW why didn't I know about this sooner, it's amazing. I have had reflux so bad this time around and tums was just not working any more. Last Friday was my last doctors visit and he said I could use it. I haven't even had any heartburn since.

About three weeks ago, at 25 weeks I felt, and dad too some hiccups, they are so cute and I love them.

28 week appointment went well, I have gained 19 lbs and your heartbeat was 145! I took the glucose test and pasted, 12 more weeks!!!!!!!!!!

My varicose veins are really bugging me this pregnancy and my braxton hicks are kicking up a notch, still not as bad as Taylee but getting worse. The pains at night are horrible and I am having a hard time sleeping, can't wait for that to be over!

late update

I had my doctors appointment on the 20th of January. Heartbeat was 154 the doctor said everything looks good. I am feeling you move a lot more and kicks are getting harder. Sleeping is getting really hard and EXTREMELY painful, but your worth it.

We have had a little issue with your name. we settled on Cooper and Bryce's cousin Ashley who is having a boy a month before us told us she is using that name so we are thinking of a different one, even though we both really like that one. We really have nothing, I hope we think of something soon.

Hi there little guy

Yes it's true, they tells us your a boy, and we are so excited!!! We had are big 20 week ultrasound on the 23rd of Decemeber, and because it was right before the holidays I am just now posting about it. We took Colton and Taylee with us, we thought it would be fun for them to see you and get to see you kick. Well that was hard because you are a quite little guy that didn't like to move much at all. I still have a hard time feeling you, mostly because we found out the placenta is on the top, but you are just content. We told the tech Darla (she is our favorite) that we didn't want to find out that day, if she could put the gender into a envelope we would open it Christmas day. We just felt like it wouldn't be right to tell a whole bunch of people before we got to tell Grandma and Grandpa Eyre on there mission. So we technically didn't find out that day.

The ultrasound went great, you are breach, which none of my kids were so you kick my bladder instead of my stomach. You are healthy as far as they can see which makes me very happy. You are still on schedule for 13th of May, no all we have to do it think of boy names.

On Christmas day we opened the envelope over at Grandma and Grandpa Munns house with Grandma and Grandpa Great Munns there too. It wasn't that much of a surprise for dad and I cause I just knew you were a boy. Everyone was so excited and can't wait for winter to be over so we can hold you.

Taylee and Colton are just so excited, they want to kiss my belly every day, and Taylee is always wanting to lift up my shirt and see the baby.

Colton thinks that we should name you Code Red, or Cooper. Taylee just says baby! We are thinking of a couple they might change, Cooper, Trace, Carter, or Conner.

I started to get braxton hicks at exactly 20 weeks, just like Colton, but then the last few days haven't had any. Dad was able to feel you kick about three weeks ago and I feel you all the time. The pregnancy is still going really good, and have still only put on 5 lbs.
